fastest 9700 Pro?

There are several manufacturers (Tyan, Crucial, FIC Powercolor, Sapphire, Hercules, etc.) using the 9700 Pro chipset along with ATi and I'm wondering which is the fastest?

yeah i was thinking about that... I'm using a Hercules 3D Prophet 8500 128mb at 325/325 and I'm impressed.. but I gotta upgrade.. Unreal II and Splinter Cell are killing me..

They should all be identical in performance 325/310 regardless of which manufacturer you choose.
Tyan seems to have the best rcord so far as overclocking goes thus far.

I have a Powercolor 9700 Pro that is basically a built by ATI card, and it's clocked @ 310/325

somebody makes a "level III" card or something of the like with quite an impressive overclock stock, i cant recall who off hand though.

unreal2 and splinter cell are built on the same engine and they are cpu limited and the first one runs like a dog no matter what, just thought i should warn you PCboy.

OMG Spliter Cell looks so awesome with my Tyan 9700 Pro-m 🙂
1280x1024 max everything and smooth as a baby skin!
this game is well made down to small details!

any chance you would hit f2 while in game and type "stat fps" in the command line and report back on the absolute low you hit in your definition of perfect?
