Actually seems about the same speed or even slower on my system (the scrolling function does anyway)...
?? Still takes 15 seconds to fully load too...

Menus seem to load a tiny bit quicker..
Snazzier splashscreen.

😀

Hey, it looks like the slow load time is from the reader trying load a bunch of useless *.api's at startup...is there a way to disable them? Anybody know??

Downloaded - Thanks 😀 hopefully browsing with the new reader is faster... the old one takes quite some time before it opens..

lightning fast download from adobe...

6.0 is definitely faster rendering, altho starting up Acrord32.exe seems about the same.

damn, i was a beta tester for that way back when....didn't know that people use that still. so do you still have to dial up?

took me like 30 sec.. 210k 🙂 dunno how long really but before i could post this it was done 🙂

anyway i d/l the 8.7mb version (just uncheck the FULL download so its not so bloated)

Makes viewing the Frys PDF ads much easier. MUCH faster on my 2500+ CPU! 🙂

thanks

Doesnt seem any faster

and loading is WAAAAAAY slower, very annoying 🙁 I already uninstalled my old adobe

the scrolling is a little smoother but i really cant recommend upgrading

Do you guys running Acrobat 6 have a file called wisptis.exe running as a system process?

The old acrobat was slow even in a fast environment (fast computer). The new acrobat is MUCH faster on fast computers, but is probably still slow on older computers. Sorry to those of you on slow machines hoping the new version of acrobat makes your machine into a super computer. It won't.

If you have a 1.8 Ghz P4 or higher I highly recommend the upgrade to Acrobat 6.

I'll have to try it and see if it is really faster or not. Best Buy ads are terribly slow. I just got a new computer a few months ago and things are at least pretty fast even for PDF but they were so so slow on my old computer.

Edit: WTH? Best Buy ads are not in PDF anymore. And I wanted to benchmark the two and BB was a good shot because those are the slowest every.
