Is there such a thing??? The energizer one i use to charge 850mah take 8.5 ****** hours.. and i'm useing the bats to play my xmod,, so it's only good for about 25-35 min. Are there faster battery chargers out there? and if so do they damage the batteries in any way.. TIA

I have the Rayovac 15min charger, both in AAAs and AAs, and they're fantastic.

Faster is not better when it comes to charging batteries.

The faster you charge, the more heat you produce and the fewer overall charge cycles you can expect from the battery.

They can only charge 15mins with the Rayovac 15min charger. And the charger do come in larger size. As for less charge cycles, i haven't heard of that, but i'm more than happy with mine. 15mins charges are awesome, especially since i'm the type of person who always forgets to charge until the last minute. My AAAs have been charged at least a hundred times and still going good

I bought this one a few months back (at least I think that was the model)...I love it. Fully charges a set of 4 AA's (2300mAh) in about 60-90 minutes - my old charger took about 14 hours. The batteries do get pretty hot, but the 10x faster charging time makes it worth it without a doubt in my opinion. I don't know if the batteries' life may be shortened theoretically, and honestly I don't care - they're not that expensive these days. When I was on vacation this summer I almost couldn't keep my batteries charged enough for the amount I used my camera every day since the old charger took such a long time...
