Hi. I want to get a new widescreen, but are there any good ones with response times lower than 16 ms? You can find a lot of 19 inch screens with even 4 ms response time. Is the response time an issue with widescreens? How come manufacturers don't get them lower?

No, it's actually 16ms. I know that the Gateway screen has 8ms, but I'm not too sure if I trust a company I don't know

because the demand isnt there
only really recently have games begun to support the widescreen resolutions, and only the newest GFX cards can run them at it well,

Also, is it really needed to get a 8 ms response time, or will 16 ms will be enough. Will I see a difference for example playing FEAR or Age of Empires III ?

I am interested in the difference between 12 and 8 ms response time...is it significant? If the 8's are relatively, reveiews should tell us how they fair...

Have a 2005 and really can't complain about the IQ that it provides...just wondering how a lower time would help your picture....

by the way...I looked it up on the dell site, the 2005 has a 12 ms response time...

Lots of gamers here really like the 2005fpw, and you can find some pretty good deals on it. You probably won't see much ghosting.
