Fast response time for remote access

Right now I need to access a couple of machines remotely (win2k, win xp w/sp2, win mce) and I have been using logmein.com but the response time is horrible. I will move my mouse of the machine I am in front of and then 20 - 30 seconds later I will see the program open up on the remote machine. I am looking for a program that allows me to access the machine and use it almost real time. I have searched through the forums and have not been able to find a definate answer. Any help would be appreciated.

Under normal circumstances there is No reason what so ever to use any of the LogMeOn to Goto My PC. etc. services. Theses services are geared toward people that refuse to learn any thing (or and are ?suckers? that think that if you pay you get something better).

It is very easy and provides more flexibility (and free) to do it by yourself.

Step 1. Log to this page and look at option 3 in order to learn how to establish a connection to your PC through the Internet. http://www.ezlan.net/myip.html

Step 2. Log to this page and learn how to get an excellent Free Remote/File transfer/chat control program. http://www.ezlan.net/vnc.html

Depending on the level of you knowledge it might take 30 mini (or more) to set the whole thing.

If you are using WinXP Pro you should also consider using its native Remote Desktop (RDT).

Step 1 (above) stays the same RDT replaces Step 2.

Set Up Remote Desktop Web Connection with Windows XP.
