Fast IR wireless mouse?

I've decided that I'd like to get a wireless mouse for my laptop, mostly for the odd bit of gaming that I do with it. However, as the number of USB ports on a T43 are extremely limited, and I don't really want a big wireless reciever sticking out the side, I was wondering if there were any mouses that could take advantage of the Infrared port on my laptop.

So, are there? If so, are they any good?

Well I'm not an expert but I think that if that kind of mouse exists, it will have a lot of motion range issues due the fact that IR emitter/receptor should be pointed exact as posible to each other!!
