Fast Forwarding in DivX Player

Is there any way to fast forward or skip to a certain point in divx player? Im trying to play an .avi file and whenever I try to skip or fast forward it just restarts the video.
 
The avi might be corrupted. Try something like the CCC project's decoding pack. If that doesn't work maybe try loading the avi into VirtualDub to see if it plays. It might be corrupted but fixable.
 
Yes, sounds like your video's corrupted. If you can redownload it, I'd do that instead of fixing it. Fixing it might take longer depending on how big your video is.
