You people are idiots. By your logic, anyone who does anything unhealthy should do EVERYTHING unhealthy. If you smoke, you might as well become an alcoholic and crackhead too!

I thought that that was common knowledge.

huh.

Does anyone else do that? I find myself doing that, like it's going to undo the damage that eating a big mac will do...Supersize it! BUT I want a diet coke...LOL

No, I drink water with my fast food.

I always get regular Coke because I get a headache from Nutra Sweet, although I only Super-size the fries because a Medium soda is plenty.

big mac has nutrition content.

a coke is about as nutritionally empty as it gets. pure calories. so its not irrational to pass on a sugar soda. you are eating the bigmac as a meal after all.

Some people order a Diet Coke with their fatty ass Mickey Ds meal cause they think regular Coke is too strong, not cause they think it's gonna balance the meal out and keep em from gainin a few.

I for one, think all diet drinks taste like liquid asshole.

meh, i think normal soda tastes like liquid asshole now. after drining diet a while it makes u realize how sickly sweet and syrupy soda really is. diet cola is just slightly flavored water, and i drink it as such. its not a desert to me...

A lot of people say the same thing about going from whole/% milk to skim, but I don't think I'd ever have the same revelation after drinking diet sodas and then going back to regular.

Whats wrong with that? I only drink diet soda's now... Can't stand the taste of regular...

exactly, idiots.

Yes I do, for numerous reasons.

I prefer diet, and in general I avoid any drinks with calories - I prefer to eat my calories.

BTW a quick lookup on McDonald's:

Large Coke = 310 calories
Large Fries = 520 calories
Double 1/4 Pounder = 730 calories
Total: 1570

Eliminating the coke drops 20% of the calories right off the top. 310 totally empty calories with absolutely no redeeming value.

And I intentionally picked the worst sandwich McDonald's has, so it's 20% OR MORE.

I can tell you are around 18 or so.... this is a common 'observation' that people like to think it is there own, and cant' wait to spout it off the first chance they can get.

I am a few years older, and on average I meet someone or someone I know comes up with this 'brillant' piece of logic about once a year.

The answer is of course another piece of logic which should have occured to you if you bothered to use your brain and think about it instead of being smug with how much of a original thinker you think you are. The answer is:

1) They ordered something, because there preffered it over the alternatives.

Factors include taste, texture, calories, diabitic risks or maybe they are just a creature of habit.

Now go stun us with another original thought JNC458

In what way? I would think the sugar and the extra calorie intake would be less healthy than a zero calorie beverage. The sweetners used aren't going to hurt you unless you drink like 4 gallons a day
