Let it be known. You shut down McDonalds or Wendy's or any fast food joint OR TAKE AWAY MY M&MS.... I will kill.

I hope we have an understanding now.

Wait and see, doubter. Have you seen the juries this country produces? They aren't exactly mental giants.

Today fast food joints; tomorrow, restaurants and even grocery stores. Pretty silly but if there's a buck to be made, lawyers are there.

After Columbine, misguided families and greedy attornies went after game publishers. Something about Doom causing all the killings. I knew then anything is fair game for a fast buck.

Som judges seem to live in their own world and visit the land of common sense infrequently. We can only hope this is tossed out by a decent human being. There's gotta be at least one left on the bench.

You gotta give credit to whomever dreams this crap up !
Lets see fat and sugar and salt are all components of a healthy diet. The reason a body craves these types of food so much is cause 100 yrs ago
getting enough of any of these foods used to be hard to do. Avg consumptuion of sugar per yr at the turn of the century was about 4 lb today people consume over 200 lb of sugar a year. So the reason fast food is loaded with fat and sugar cause it is what the body craves and they know it.
Is it illegal to sell people what they want? Any diet which isn't broad and includes all the food groups is lacking including sugar and fat.
Nobody made these people only eat fast food but there is a physiological pull to do so.

Well, damn. I think I want to go and sue budweiser because it's so habitual to drink down a 12 pack every night. It's not good for me!

Uh huh. And a little old lady who was stupid enough to put a cup of coffee between her legs in a moving car and THEN, attempt to take off the lid might disagree with you. :p

The very fact that it's even CONSIDERED is proof of the slippery slope. Considered today, acted upon tomorrow.

Yeah but there are lots of pysiological pulls on a person. IE our bodies have to sleep everyday and preferably at night.
But though our will we can go much longer than everyday and we can program our bodies easily enough to sleep all day instead.
The guy who is compulsed to cheat on his wife can blame the genetics in our brain that demand
we spread as much of our DNA around as possible but somewhere along the line he can CHOOSE.
We aren't animals we don't have to fly south for the winter or hibernate we can make choices.
This would be one of those areas where personal responsibility kicks in.
I do think its an interesting try though and not totally unfounded.

I'm sure the litigators are way ahead of you on that one. It's only a matter of time.

I'm just worried about which way it will shift...

actually, given the history of seemingly idiotic cases that have been successfully litigated in the US, i can see this as having a definate possibility of winning in some fashion. arguments will show a general lack of nutritional content, company documents discussing methods of getting people to eat more, and the overwhelming amount of advertisement used to make junk food a part of an everyday diet especially aimed at children.
