Fast Floppy Drive?

Is there any "faster" 3.5" floppy drive out there?

I know the standard manufacturers produce nearly identical drives.

I just wondered if there was one which was faster, cuz they are so slow.

Thanx

Hehe. I can see the ads now. "Try our new 50X 3.5 inch floppies!"

A while back I went through about 12 floppy drives on my machine because they all kept failing. I eventually tracked it down to a double density disk that was somehow destroying the drives (!). Any way, I tried just about every brand there is, from brand names to generic junk, and during the time they worked (prior to inserting the drive destroyer) they all seemed to perform about the same.

LS-120/240 drives (superdisks) work with standard 3.5" floppies, though they are not compatible with those 2.88mb ones. The 2.88mb ones may also be faster then 1.44mb/720k ones, though I have never seen speed comparisons.
