Hello all,

Come check this CS server out, and AT members get special treatment. We have a bunch of server equipment we dont use anymore, so its now a Dedicated 2MBit / 20 people CS Server!

Server IP address: 204.119.59.243:27015
Server Name: Spray and Pray

Any AT members can gather up there, CSG is also installed.

Thank you,
have a great day.

<< does anyone know what ports need to be open for connecting from behind a firewall..... >>

I am behind a linksys router/firewall and I don't have to open any ports. However if you are having problems try opening 27010-27016.

<< does anyone know what ports need to be open for connecting from behind a firewall..... >>

I don't think you need to open any port to play.

<< I ping 110++ 🙁

Entitys server is far better IMO 🙂
>>

I agree. On Entity's sever I get around 70-80 ping. At this server I was getting right around 200.

<< Any AT members can gather up there, CSG is also installed. >>

CSG doesn't do crap except catch the retarded hackers that don't rename their files

Cheating Death is the only thing right now that works against cheaing... though there supposively is a hack for it 😱

yeah, i thought no ports would be needed opened as well.. but behind my freesco router, i can't connect to anything... i take myself off it and it all works fine... very strange. i forgot how to open up some ranges too.. guess i'll just slap em in manually and see if it works. thx

you shouldn't have to open any ports for counter-strike, unless you're the one hosting the server. you DO however need it for dcc transfers on mirc, aim transfers, stuff like that.

see sig 😛

We fixed some map issues, and ping should be better now. It depends where you connect from. Some people get 40-60ping, while others lag out at 200, so far its been pinging great tho.

Gotta love AT&T's routing!

And this is from DC.

The server is on a fast line, but yeah thare are too many loops. The server is brand new, so traffic is nonexistent at this moment. Thats why i posted here 😉

OK, here's the tracert:

AT&T is so strange. Everything has to go to NJ.

There's another server in MD I frequent a lot
Oprhus.com. They're also hosted by AT&T.
*cough* guess who is #1 ranked *cough*

NOTE: Not crapping on NewsCE's server, just giving another example of AT&T's great routing:

Tonight they're surprisingly good. Usually I have to make at least 2 round trips between Baltimore and NJ before hitting MD.

Still ping 22 there though, lol. 🙂

What actually might help an AT server work is just open it up to te public and give AT members admin so that people will actually play but cheating will still be down since a lot of admins will pass thru. I know it defeats the whole purpose but theres just not enuf of a cs community here that you can set up a server and expect it to have people. Im sure that at least 1 person always wants to play but no1s there so he/she just joins one of his other favorite servers.
