Fascist School Headmaster wants to ban dating.

I'm not sure if this belongs here in Off Topic or in P&N. So Mods feel free to move this if needed.

If I was a parent paying that much money to send my kid to this school, I would be howling for his head if he threaten to expel my teenager for well, being a teenager. This article dates back to January and so does he still have a job? I mean seriously, I'm quite sure there was uproar from parents about this, and I expect that the school has let him go afterward after all the push back from said parents.

No dating or romantic relationship? Where in Hell did the school find him?
 
1. Wrongheaded use of facist.
2. This is in another country (Wales).
3. It's a private co-ed boarding school. If parents don't like the rules, they are free not to send their children there.
4. He passed a bunch of bannable offences the year before (going to the park or restaurants, ordering takeout, smoking and drinking - regardless of age) and he's still there and so, apparently, are those rules.
5.The parents did push back and the principal changed his stance so far as to say that If a student was achieving top grades then he would not hamper their chances of a university place by writing a less favorable reference, due to them having a boyfriend/girlfriend. Looks like all the rest still stands.
6. The school has been around since the late 1200's and is considered one of the top schools in the country. Different standards in a different country.

Would I send my children to such a school? No. Is anyone else entitled to? Yes.

While everyone is entitled to send their kids to whatever school they like, I have to wonder about the mindset of a parent who would send their kids to a school with such strict and absurd rules.

Any father with a daughter would be fighting each other to the death to get their daughter in that school.
