Here are my specs:
CPU: AMD 2500+ Barton 1800MHz
Motherboard: DFI LanParty NFII Ultra
Memory: 1024 MB of Corsair PC2700
Video Card: ATI 8500 LE (ATI Radeon) 128mb ram
Hard Drive: Western Digital 100GB 7200RPM (Running XP Pro)
Hard Drive: Maxtor 30.0 GB @ 7200 RPMS (Running Red Hat 9.0)
Monitor: Sony 18' Flat Screen
DVD Manufacturer & Model: LG 12x
CDR/CDRW Manufacturer & Model: LiteOn 12x10x32x
Storage Interface: IDE
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Here is my problem:
I am attempting to play farcry demo and while it installs fine, the performance is terrible. When I set the game to low quality everything and 800x600 16-bit resolution, the game has the worst performance I have ever seen... I mean it takes about 30 seconds from the time I move to the mouse to where the computer responds and actually changes frames.
Is there anything wrong with my rig or is it just a software config problem because these specs far exceed minumum performance standards but are below reccomended.
Thank you!
