I thought Ed McMahon was the first, Farah being 2nd, Michael being 3rd

I had that poster too.

It is still considered to be the best selling poster of all time. Amazing accomplishment for a poster from 1976.

She was in Cannonball Run too, the first one. Other than Charlie's Angels that might be the only other role most people remember her from.

So a pedo gets a sticky, but a hawt geriatric does not? 😵
Farrah's claim to fame is one poster and a TV show, both decades old. She died like most celebrities past their heyday do: quietly.

Michael was on the level of Elvis and The Beatles; he was still as relevant today as he was decades ago.

level of fame is different true. i did get a bit more google education on anal cancer than i bargained for.
goddamned cancer is sh*tty stuff.

She also had something of a bit part in Logan's Run...

Actually she earned quite a bit of praise for being a serious actress Nominated for 5 Golden Globes and 3 emmys While she never won it does take some considerable talent to be nominated.

No I disagree with you about being relevant today. The only thing he made headlines for in the last 10 years was his surgeries and child molestation allegations, which non have ever been proven. While Farrah made headlines with her stormy relationship with Ryan O'Neil and posing nude for Playboy at the age of fifty.

Both were talented people who contributed to their respective arts and both will missed

I'm sure she had talent. Lots of actors in Hollywood do, even the ones who don't win any major awards. But very few rise to the level of being a legend in their industry, and Fawcett doesn't meet that standard.

Getting nominated for 8 major awards is nice. Not quite as nice as this, or this.

Yes I see your point and both would be considered legendary in their own way. Farrah for her pinup poster and Micheal for his music. I concede though that while having the best selling pinup poster does not quite accomplish the music genre that MJ accomplished. Do you think that MJ would have been as huge if not for the millions viewers from the MTV age and the "moon walk"?

I guess that might be irrelevant because Elvis in the beginning was known for his swivel hips in the beginning also. Without the add of MTV though when he made it big in the 50's there were a lot of variety show on tv like Ed Sullivan which Elvis was on. The E.S. Show was one of the most watched shows on tv. TV was fresh then because many people could afford them and it spawned the Golden Era of TV.

Micheal had already established himself with his brothers in his preteen years. I do not know how old you but I can remember the J-5 early hits when I was in elementary school Ugh showing my age 😀

Ah yes...back in the day when Michael was a cute little Black kid with a big nose...

My being enamored with Farrah Fawcett predates her Charlie's Angels days. I had a teacher that was taken with her when she had only appeared in a laundry detergent ad. He had her picture up on the wall of the classroom and enlisted all us boys into a mini fan club. On a lark we wrote her a fan mail and asked for a picture. She sent us an autographed one along with a letter. And yes, I had the poster up on my wall too.

RIP FF

I didn't know much about her, but she seemed a pretty classy act overall from my cursory knowledge. She was a little before my time I guess.

My condolences and best wishes to her loved ones, RIP Farrah.
