Anyone been there? Looks pretty cool. Like a Scandinavian Ireland, nice weather included. I'll have to add it to my list of places I'd like to go.

they're an extremely traditional society and quite proud of their heritage.

I've never been there but I've been thinking about "following in the footsteps of my ancestors" and doing a tour of the faroe islands, iceland and greenland for a couple of weeks.

I'm not too hip on whaling, but I give traditional cultures a bit of a pass. I'm guessing it's not just a gourmet novelty, but a staple of diet.

If you are thinking of going somewhere and you are not the epitome of the American caricature then go to southern Spain.

It's cheap and the people are ... well the women are... i can't describe it but it kinda feels like getting trapped in a photoshoot of models and their mums.
