Have you played the game? Those screenshots were all the hype before release, but they've since toned down the graphical quality. The game doesn't look quite photorealistic anymore, although it does look damn good.

Actually, if you go to crymod and look at teh screenshot contests, the best "photorealistic" screenshots came from the level editor community a year after the game was released.

The stock levels have the graphics toned down quite a lot. However, the mod community has shown that the engine is still capable of producing the graphics in the alpha. Far Cry 2 does not even come close to that level of graphical quality.

It looks even more amazing than crysis, and also runs even worse.
A minimum of a 8800 series is required, probably 200 series preferable.

If you've really played both games on a capable PC, I don't see how you could possibly disagree. Far Cry 2 looks good, but after seeing Crysis...

Blah.. just tried Farcry 2 and I think they've messed it up. Now it has that console feel to it and I dont like that for FPS.

Just finished Rainbow6 vegas2 doesnt help as that game is superior in everyway for me.

I guess I'll move onto Crysis Warhead.

I thought Warhead was actually a lot better than the original Crysis.

That screenshot in the first post makes for a horrible comparison. It's easy to see the screenshots are altered and do not depict actual in game quality. I wish my FC2 looked like that, minus the blur filter that was used when altering the shot.

Crysis definitely has way more advanced graphics and physics. Farcry 2 is pretty and smoother but there is no way it comes even close to Crysis in terms of advanced graphics/physics.

It's not even close in the game. Crysis looks far better. Crysis is also the better game.

far cry 2 is not bad at all. i think its more realistic looking as far as colors go since crysis is always nice and bright and vibrant. thats not the usual real life scenario.
