I know I'm nitpicking, but it's 1280 x 720.
I believe all Xbox360 games have 4x antialiasing and 8x anisotropic filtering.
In all fairness, though I know you're exaggerating your frame rate (I don't think a Cray could get 300 fps in Far Cry with the same settings as an XBox 360), your PC is no doubt a pretty formidable machine, and cost many times as much as a 360. Personally, after years of gaming on PCs, I've concluded that in general I find the console experience more satisfying - there's no substitute for relaxing on the couch with a 50" screen and 600W 5.1 Dolby Digital surround system.

The whole point is just to show how graphics have been enhanced using new technology...obviously very similar technology is also available on the PC.
The graphics from the original Far Cry for the PC are really better than what you would even get with the original Xbox...so showing how much better a game for the Xbox 360 looks will show you that the console is "next generation" in comparison to the old Xbox/PS2.
People who say the Xbox 360 is not "next generation" because PCs are putting out similar looking games are missing the boat. The Xbox 360 is next generation compared to the last "generation" of consoles.
If you want to continually upgrade your PCs with parts that cost more than an Xbox 360 does as a whole...than go for it. I'm happy with my Xbox 360 and the amount of gaming it brings for the small entry fee of $299. And don't give me that TV crap...I and almost everyone I know owns a TV or a cmputer monitor they can hook the 360 up to. I'm playing mine on my Dell 2005FPW and am perfectly happy. The computer hooked to that 2005FPW cost me a hell of a lot more that $299...and doesn't play COD2 nearly as well...forget aboout something like Gears of War.

That's what I was thinking too ...
COD2 looks fvcking awesome on the 360 on my TV.
Not to mention, I don't game on PC so games on 360 look 100x better than games on my PC in general.
Also, this video was supposed to be for internal useage only but one of the dev's leaked it out to the public.

Guys guys, calm down. We all know the pattern - console comes out, is ahead of PCs, eventually PCs match it, then surpass it, then a new console comes out, rinse and repeat. What's the big deal?
