both releases were 2004.
there is no way hl2 is better than farcry.

I loved them both, but I really didn't like the last 1/3 of FarCry, whereas I loved all of HL2.

Still though, both insanely amazing.

Far Cry only came out on PC, so wrong forum. Far Cry Instincts was a different game. And I liked Far Cry more than HL2 also.

I enjoyed BOTH alot. I would say FarCry was really sweet with the whole open-ness and enemies freaking me out because I would get flanked by the AI.

im not trashing half life.
i just think i had a more enjoyable time with farcry.

FarCry had great graphics and gameplay - but the story / dialog was hilariously bad.

HL2 had very good graphics and a great story / dialog.

HL2 > FarCry

i agree that half lifes story is better put together ..but that doesnt mean a hell of a alot when im running around with a gun.

I found HL2 engaging and quite fun, and kept playing it until I finished it.
I got bored in Far Cry within a couple of hours and uninstalled it.
