Farcry / 7800GTX SLI Issues

Just finished a 7800GTX SLI System and installed Farcry and it looks like crap. Colors are oversaturated & too bright; the water looks like it's set to low even though it's on ultra high (my X800 XL setup at home does better..haha) and in some sections the ground textures disappear and show up completely black. Does the 1.3 patch fix this or is there something I need to configure differently in the driver settings or in farcry itself?

All settings are on the highest and adjusting AA or AF doesn't seem to help. Had this issue with the drivers the cards shipped with and the 77.72 release as well.

It only happens in Farcry - Desktop, Doom3 and video playback are all normal.

Full system specs are in signature (work system)

Any ideas?

Definetely get the 1.3 patch at least. It will look a ton better. I got lots of buggy issues with my 6800GT without the patch.

I'm having similar problems although I only have a single 7800. I've updated to the latest patch and am using the Forceware 77.72 drivers. HDRRendering is way too saturated with lighting, giving it a blinding effect. Any help would be appreciated.

I think HDR is supposed to give kinda a blinding effect...perhaps you have it set up too high though?

And to the first guy, try the new patch for far cry. 1.3...then after that get the 1.32 patch (1.3 needed for it)

hdr is kind of a blinding effect, its when your under shadow and cross the sun and everything goes bright for a second until your eyes adjust, it adds to the realism though

Go to your video display properties, then Settings. Click the advanced button. Click the name of your video card, then go to the color correction tab. On the pulldown menu for "Apply color changes to" select 'all', then click on the "restore defaults" button. Click apply. This should fix the brightness issue. This fix is mentioned in the 77.72 release notes.

Edit: After re-reading your problem, this may not fix it, however, i'd recommend giving it a shot anyhow.
