They shut down an open discourse on political correctness and free speech.

Live recorded event here:

This is why the far left is taking liberalism in the wrong direction with safe spaces if they keep suppressing free speech and don't learn how to debate as stated beautifully here by Van Jones:

Of course the regressive left can't debate. That's why they resort to bullying and name-calling, constantly. It's more effective IRL than on AT since real life is... full duplex, and they can effectively drown out any opinions they don't like just by yelling or using their bodies as physical barriers.

That said, even here, they're very intimidating :( There's very little diversity of opinion, since every time anyone posts anything that the circle jerk brigade don't agree with, they commence with the bullying and vindictive sarcasm. It's difficult for the new counter-culture (conservatism) to get a foot in the door, so fewer and fewer bother with p&n, imho.

White nationalists are the Real victims. That's why we need to hear what they have to say.

I think someone here doesn't understand what free speech is.

I think someone thinks it only goes one way. Do you think it is allowed to have the speaker silenced? Do you think that violates their rights to free speech? You may want to research these things before you answer.

The beauty of free speech is that it applied to everyone. There are right and wrong ways to protest a message that a speaker has. Resorting to violence or being so loud that you actually silence whoever is speaking, is not it.

Pretty sure white nationalists & such can say whatever they want on conservative fake news like Brietbart.

agent00f made 7708 posts so far defending liberalism in less than a year. incredible watching him thrive in this degenerate group, he is very successful and must be the worst human being per his own law: agent00f's law of worsts.

The guy who constantly calls people names laments that liberals call people names.

Classic.

Well this ain't Russia yet. People can openly voice their opinions and other people can openly ridicule those positions. Hopefully nobody gets poisoned or disappeared.

Unfortunately for you the Amendments start at #1 and not #2.

There's a tremendous irony to complaints about this coming from people who cheerlead a President who calls the media the "enemy of the people." From the camp that just wants protesters and the Democrats to shut up, submit and mindlessly obey while Trump runs roughshod over the country's values.

I'm not saying that shouting someone down is always the wisest idea, but this is not the "far left," nor is it coming out of the blue. Imagine you're Canadian. You live in a country where moderation, rationality and compassion are mostly par for the course. Now imagine seeing how Breitbart's lies and hateful rhetoric have wrecked the US political discourse, and realizing that an Islamophobic liar like Ezra Levant is trying to do the same in Canada. Would you just let him go uncontested and risk repeating the US' mess in your country? Hell no.

I've by and large checked out for this very reason. Sad because AT has been my home on the internet for a long time, but the obnoxious bully culture that's not only allowed but encouraged to thrive makes any reasonable discussion impossible. I know I'm not the only one either, because this place really seems to have slowed down.

He's lucky the far left authoritarians didn't assault him like they are doing to conservatives in the United States. Socialist Nazi's by any other name still stink of fascism.

Since the Nazis are coming for you let me make a suggestion. The best thing to do is hide, in the attic, and don't make a sound for the next 3 or 4 years. We'll let you know when it's safe to come out. ;)

I wouldn't call disrupting public education and/or activism events to be "using the 1st amendment" as a lot of people here claim. While the events may be public, they are likely on private property. Interuptting other's first amendment by using your first amendment is a form of obstruction.

Hilarious. You sit here and carry water for the guy who sent out a crony to declare that he "will not be questioned" and yet you are raving about left wing "fascists."

Again, you don't seem to understand what your right to free speech entails.
