Far Cry HDR Problems?

1.33, yeah....it still looks like that....is that normal though? If it is, it doesn't look very realistic...unless its supposed to imitate what I see when my contacts get screwed up.
 
Then again, FarCry's HDR was more of a tech demo than an actual useful feature I believe.

It looks good, but there are a lot of problems with it and AA, along with drivers and I wanted to know if that was normal?

I just want it to work right.....I really like Far Cry's HDR effects, not as good as Lost Coast, sadly you can't have AA on...wah!

Lost Coast was a serious implementation of HDR. I believe FarCry's was just an early testing of HDR. That might be why it doesn't look that good.

wow when did far cry hdr come out? is it a little demo like lost coast or is it added to the whole game?

Yeah, I don't see any errors in them, they just don't look pretty. I wouldn't trust me though.

As I said there, I already knew AA and HDR cannot live happily together in Far Cry...

I just want to know if I still have more issues to fix.

obviously you've never played FarCray to the end or have u? :roll:

those veins are there because the the hero was infected with the virus mutigen and he was turning into something else, while he was trying to fight through the last part of the game, which was volcano and that level was insanely hard If I remember correctly.

It came out since patch 1.3 and that was about maybe 1 and 1/2 years ago...

it supports every single map in FarCry because it's being rendered to the engine directly instead of only map based like Source's.

thats how it is....and no you cant do AA and HDR. far cry uses OpenEXR for their HDR and i think it uses the same registers that would be used for AA, so its either one or the other.

HDR in far cry was more of a tech demo, i believe theres about 11 different HDR modes in far cry, and its not enabled by default. its just to give u a feel for what it might be like.

it does look abit wrong with big glares coming of tiny little lights, but out doors at least it looks a little more realistic, like when you look at the sunset on one level and the light drowns out all the trees and makes everything look like a sillohuet (sp?)

but yeah what you are seeing is normal.

 
it was after the ending part after you fought The Doctor, rocket launcher and machine gun did the job good.
