ok, so i play fc3 on my laptop and my desktop. used to be that it would load where I last saved on either machine.

lately on my laptop, it always loads an old save. if i go back to my dektop, it loads that same old save. i played a few hours on my desktop the other day (for the 3rd or 4th time). yesterday I renamed the folder I thought was my save folder on the laptop hoping that it would pull the save from the ubi servers. today I tried to play on my laptop. it again loaded the old save.

wtf????

where is the local save game folder?

wtf??? I ininstalled FC3 on my laptop and told it to delete saved games. i reinstalled.

I played FC3 on my desktop this weekend and got back to the 2nd island again.

loaded up FC3 on my laptop and it's still taking me to the old save on the 1st island!

Figure out where the save folder is. Might be buried somewhere in the users folder.

why do you think I made a post asking where the save game folder is? i can;t find it. I searched on google and found several answers and deleted the ones I could find but it's still pulling it from somewhere.

I had to fromat last week and thought the folder in the Docs was the right one. It was not. I lost my 25 hours save game and i'm pissed.

Is it installed through steam?

I found this, but I don't know if it applies to steam installs or not:

Make sure you have show hidden files enabled (open whatever folder you want, click "Organize" in the upper left corner then "Folder and search options", "View" tab and under "Hidden files and folders" you enable "Show hidden files, folders or drives". Press OK.

Then the saved games can be found at C:\ProgramData\Orbit\46

Update: This is for Windows 7.
