Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon joining AMD's Radeon bundles

I sold my Crysis 3 key and used the proceeds to buy Tomb Raider >.<

So I guess you could say I got BioShock, Tomb Raider, and now this with my 7950.

I just brought it up so that people who keep saying Nvidia bundles suck know that.. they only suck to you and not others... sell it to others and buy the bundle you want.

I've played Blood Dragon...can't say I much care for it. The whole design of it is sort of cool I guess, if you're into that retro-technology 80's thing. Quite honestly though it plays like a 360 Arcade game even on PC. I play on Ultra with max'd AA at 1080p getting 60 FPS. The texture pop-in is still horrible

Too bad neither side is releasing new products (titan and 7990 don't count). Nobody wants to be the sucker buying 7950-670 when the cards have been out for over a year without much reduction in price.

You just called a bunch of people on this forum suckers. 7950 prices have dropped considerably in the last year. Why do you insist on being both

A) offensive

and

B) a fool?

Both companies have been milking their flag ship for too long. Sorry about calling people suckers, I didn't mean to be rude. I just think both companies are stalling big time. If you want something marginally faster than their old tech you have to give up a kidney.

You're right. People just love to parrot on forums. This particular board is just egregious with it.

I've sold half a dozen Reloaded combos and a pair Nvidia combos. They've all vacillated between 45-60 bucks on ebay depending on how quickly I wanted the sale.

Blood Dragons has a very specific group of audience, the people who enjoyed shit from the 80s. Even though I was born in the 90s I grew up on stuff like Terminator, Robocop, Star Wars, The Evil Dead etc. This expansion basically is a parody of that time period and I think it does it rather well. I am very excited about playing the game once it comes out.

@lilrayray69 How did you play it I thought it comes out on May 1st or something like that.

It hurts AMD. If you think that around $50 (3x $17) of gross margin is not hurting AMD then i guess you believe their margin on these products must be really high.

If it was hurting them so much why would they offer it retroactive? They obviously see it as a positive.

Gotta to do something to convince people to not buy Kepler I suppose...

Good points

Actually Tahiti's better performance and price are doing it quite happily.^_^
Buy Kepler if you want slower/expensive.

ps...How's that BitCoin mining tweak for Kepler coming along? (checks BTC price)
Does it still suck?:whiste:

But Square Enix sees it as a negative.

How's AMD's lunatics still seeing AMD's GPUs good for mining? Does it not suck compared to this?

The thing is though, that AMD won`t be releasing any better single GPU from GCN. Instead their tactic is to make a dual GPU to counter the massive critique from reviewers about their stuttering, while attacking Nvidia`s Titan and GTX 690. HD 7990. If this GPU cost $700 and feature the same anti stuttering technology as GTX 690 does, it will bring in a lot of sales.

In the meantime, they will continue to develop the GCN architecture, which they might release Q4 this year (most likely Q1 2014). It will be GCN 2.0 and from there they will once again ship out better single GPUs.

As for Nvidia, who knows. It does look like they won`t be out with the 800 series until AMD is out with the 8000 series (GCN 2.0). Right now they are aiming to push out Kepler LE right after the summer, which will be a GK110 too so nothing new there.

So yeah, I think Q4 2013 or Q1 2014 will be the date when we get the newest flagship GPUs with new improved architecture from them both.

The F2P bundle was free for them. That's the reason why these games all free to play without paying something.

And the other games: It was also for only certain cards and never 2 or 3 of them at the same time.

They're offering it to customers who have already bought. So, without it they've already sold the product. I have no idea what your point is, sorry?

Marketing. Creating a brand, mindshare etc.
