Just got a GTX 780 -- decided I'd give FC3 BD a shot (via uplay).

Well, first it wouldn't download correctly. Had to reinstall a few times and still hit 'ignore' on a few issues with files. Now it just crashes on startup after updating twice. Event viewer shows faulting module FC3_d3d11.dll and there are plenty of references to that on the internet.

But WHY do I have to worry about this in the first place? I shouldn't have to go into freaking event viewer to play a stupid computer game. Feels like I'm at work all over again.

Anyone have/fix this issue before? SO ANNOYING. Makes me want to just buy a ps4.

Do you have uPlay installed on the same drive the game is on? If not, uninstall uPlay and install it on your game drive.

On the same drive, tried reinstalling everything... same crap.

CRC error when trying to install. Verifying afterwards doesn't help. People online suggest new RAM... give me a break. Have been using this computer/ram for years with no problems.

Thanks ubisoft :D

Just crack the game. You own a legit copy, and stripping the DRM would likely fix things.

I had some problems getting this one running and saving too. I'm glad I worked through them, the game is pretty good.

Sounds like a driver issue to me

When uplay tried to install the directx drivers for the game did you interrupt it ?

Try installing the direct x part again and see what it does
