Just because you can do that, doesn't mean that's what you should necessarily be doing. These missions were the best part of the game for me, trying to sneak in and take all the guys out one by one without being detected or having bodies found, always leaving the leader until the end. Each missions was a new situation, new pattern to try and figure out the best way to do it. The bow and knife were pretty much the only weapons I used in this game, unless I screwed up and shit hit the fan.
I guess that's part of the reason I might enjoy games like this more than other people, I like to role play, and put limits on myself to get the most out of a game. Like you said, running in guns blazing and just blasting everybody gets repetitive. What you get out of a game depends on how you approach it.
Agreed
All of the weapons are quite powerful, so you can get the job done in any number of ways. If the game is getting repetitive, then quit going about things the same way. I do kind of wish those missions had different goals, like a knife kill was only one possibility but the next mission would be "kill the captain via fire" or "kill the captain with a shot to the head" etc.
