wow, look, more more jungle! who'd have thought???
looks like they couldn't fix the shitty, choppy, driving mechanics in the game either.
wow, a flimsy tower takes a rocket hit and shows no signs of damage.
bahahahaha! the vehicle "repair" sequence is hilarious.
weapons look weak as hell too.

Coolest part I thought - picking up ammo. :)

Not a bad tech demo - but I wish they'd have more environments than just 1 huge "jungle" setting.

I'm sure they'll have caves and stuff to change the scenery a bit.

They were probably playing on easy, or with a god mode or something where you can still take damage. I hope the final game is much harder though. Also I agree with the guy that said that you find weapons everywhere, though they might have had that so that they could show off more of them. Either way, I'll be looking forward to it, hope they do a good job polishing the gameplay.

Also, I live in Montreal so goooooo Ubisoft Montreal.

Ok bad 1st impressions.

Bad screen tearing <- not a finished game yet. (also maybe vsync as mentioned by someone)
Destructable vegitation (who cares ffs) uh, it's quite a nice feature, even if it's not always useful. destruction = fun.
Bad voice acting have to agree
weapons just like FarCry and Crysis 50 shot kills and no down the sights shooting I don't recall seeing any crosshairs, and i do recall seeing iron sights... not sure what video you watched
AI Snipers are rubbish might be because of the difficulty level? can't say anything for sure
Finding weapons everywhere you go um, they said you have to buy guns...
taking on 20 men and surviving like Rambo. again, maybe difficulty level related, maybe it's because it was a demo and they put on god mode or something. They were showing off the game, not giving you an accurate playthrough...
too much freedom maybe possibly. but I'm not entirely sure this can be a valid point.

i think ill be bored of this game after an hour, once you have done 1 mission itll get repetetive, but we'll see, i found farcry very good but i found crysis to be soooo boring.

Thanks Wheezer for the link ;)

Of course there probably will be other bad points, but the ones you suggest mostly may be related to it being a demonstration of an unfinished game (which is good, since they hopefully won't be there in the finished product).
The most important element though is whether it will be fun, and that may be where the too much freedom issue comes in.

Many people have complained about Crysis being quite limiting though. Even though you have large open environments it's still a pretty linear shooter when it comes down to it. and maybe FC2 will manage to have a nice environment without the linear aspects and instead give a more open approach without being too open.

Wow, that looks amazingly good. I was skeptical at first, thinking Far Cry in the desert and all, but that actually looks great! I just hope there aren't any Trigens this time around...

Hey Canai, no, no Trigens or mutants or any of that shit this time around. Just humans, which is absolutely 100% kickass.

I seriously am really excited for this game, I don't know what to think except good things about it. Which is rare considering its Ubisoft.

Well, other than what you said, I too think the guns look like crap. Need some hip fire because I don't even see what hes shooting at.

Is the killing going to be fun? That's all what matters to me. If the AI shoots me from a mile away or the guns shoot bean bags at rubber dolls...Im going to get bored very fast. It's a FPS...so make the killing fun!

The crappy controlling vehicles, overheating software, and ill attention to details are only icing on crap cake. Hopefully wont be another cyrsis, where the pay to attention to the world, and pay no attention to whats happening directly in front of the screen.

I think some of your concerns are a bit bitter, it looks cool, there'll be around 30 weapons in the game, I'm hoping an FN Fal is one of them. If they put in the FAL, this game will be badass.

Bitter towards Crysis -- more concerned for FC2. The low-res movie does look bad-ass, but so do any present rapped up in boe. I don't want a interactive movie, I want a game.

It's a good thing that there is screen tearing, that means that it runs fast enough on todays hardware to actually do that...

Yes, yes, I agree, but still, it looks more than simply "an interactive movie" at this point. The gun jamming, the repairing, as gimmicky as they are, they're not the game's selling point, so I'm not too concerned about Ubisoft trying to just sell themselves out by all these "mini-features."

At what point will it become 'cool' to dis this game ala Crysis.

I want to be ahead of the curve this time.
