Edited for new problem. The title says it all. I can't find my way out, where the plane crashed, to the 2 final locations for the game.

It's a tutorial mission, and at the same time you get the mission to "fix" the car, you're also introduced to how to use the map. As you're walking to the car, you should get some on screen messages as far as what keys are used to control the map. Go through all of the instructions as far as using the map (including how to change the map resolution), and you should get a "completed" notice.

turn the game off, uninstall it from your computer, go get Fallout 3 and play that instead. Farcry2 was soo bad I had to finish it as soon as I could.

I did swap out FC2 for Fallout 3 and couldn't be happier.

damn thats harsh. at that rate you will never have fun with the better weapons.

i found a map of where the locations were, and i found ab out 100 of them. then jsut used a trainer and gave myself 999 diamonds. makes it more fun with the better weapons ;)

Many FC2 haters seem to give up early in the game. I've been enjoying it for the last3-4 weeks and am at 83% through. Not the best game, not even similar to Far Cry, but it's a decent game with great Terrain and offers new challenges throughout.

I'll have to look for that map.

What's depressing to me though is the beautiful scenery with the abject poverty, disease, war, ect (much like the real Africa) and that f**cking downer soundtrack.

So far I haven't had many shoot outs like FC1 offered (or Crysis), I've made 3 friends and bought a new G3. Whoop dee doo...

OK, I am at 96%, but I can't get to the plane or anything. All the walls are solid. Any ideas ?

Sorry OP, I dont have an answer. Maybe check gamefaqs message board?

off topic, I just hate how you have to unload a clip into someone in order to kill them. Anyone know of a fix for this?

You're not supposed to get into the plane. If you look beyond the plane you'll find a trail that will bring you back up to a safe house.

This should help:

I'm now on working on my 10th time through this game - 3rd time at the infamous level..
It has become my 2nd all time favorite - behind GTA: Vice City...

First time playing you will be with the UFLL... Don't delete all your saves from the first game and the next time you start a new game you will be with APR (Different bosses, locations, including the starting tutorials)

Yeah the unloading a whole clip to kill the guy ruined it for me. I mean get with reality guys, a 7.62x39mm AK round to the chest/head will drop ANYONE, and 3-5 will kill ANYONE. Played for a couple hours and gave up, way to arcade with no grip on reality.

people really have become game snobby. I agree, the game was not omgholybajesusbatman but it was pretty good. If you use the buses you could skip over the tedious driving around stop and go fighting. The visuals were stunning and i like how if you were just looking to kill sometime you could do it in this game. I don't know why they called it Far cry 2 other than to get Far cry 1 fans to buy it without question.

This is exactly how I feel about it.

I keep it on my wifes computer, (which is downstairs...man cave upstairs) for when I have to be downstairs for the kids or whatever and feel like jumping in and getting my destruction on. I also use the buses and boats as much as I can. But sometimes I just drive from station to station and see how many I can take out before they get me. Fun.

It is a good solid game. "not omgholybajesusbatman". But a good solid approachable game that you can jump into and out of very easily.

My only problem is the DX10 crashing issue but it looks fantastic on DX9 as well so...no biggie.

Yea, it eventually got to the point that I treat it the same way. I stopped trying to beat it, and just started enjoying jumping in and hunting people. It's pretty much a big beautiful sandbox for hunting people. And if you use it for that, it does a damn good job.
