Normally nothing important just the box graphics are slightly different. There where reports in the past of people having problems playing multiplayer with international versions but I only heard that happening with the Orange Box I believe. Something about Valve not letting you register a European key in the US. I have personally purchased several international games with no problems yet and the price is always lower. If it where mutliplayer only I might be worried but if you just want it for single then it should be good.
 
it shouldn't have a problem, I bought CoD4 International Version and i've been playing for a while without problems.
 
Does anyone know why European games are usually cheaper than US games (Just going by by GoGamer prices)? I was under the impressions that imports carry a premium over domestic products.
 
It is a cheap and sleazy way to cash in by taking advantage of the good name of the original Far Cry game.

This may be a good deal.
But, do not buy it just on the account of you having liked the original Far Cry.
It has nothing to do with the original Far Cry. It was not even made by the same company.

I like the game.
But, I felt cheated when I found out after having bought it ....

In general I'm not sure why the price is less but in this case UbiSoft is not a US company so we are the importer. I believe this game was developed by one of their Canadian groups and the company itself is headquarted in France, at least that is what I read.

because they usually smuggle heroin in the same shipping container. So they don't really care about how much they make on the games.

I feel the same way too. The first one was really good and although I couldn't play it all the way through and had to watch my nephews do it for me we all enjoyed it! 🙂 The graphics and storyline was amazing. Having said that this Far Cry game is doesn't disappoint at all. It's easily one of the most beautiful games created. The environments are plentiful and detail with a good system. I can't comment on the gameplay yet as I've only been running around exploring rather than off completing missions 😀 that and my MX1000 is very screwy with this game.
