Works for me. The very first startup takes a very long time though. How long have you tried waiting? Wait 10 minutes.

Maybe it's your over-clock? Try to run your system at stock speeds and take a look at how it goes, who knows, maybe it's just not stable in specific circumstances.

First mission won't load. Game freezes and I have to use task manager to shut it down. I also have win 7 64 bit.

Ok... works fine now. The first mission actually loaded this time, it didnt hang like last time and it started up quickly too.

Differences from last time:

- this was the 2nd attempt
- WMP is playing the specials - ghost town

Well there ya go, if anyone else reads this in the future who cant get far cry to work, be patient with it, play a soothing song, and try again :)

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the very first time you load a mission, it takes a long time to load also if you're running Vista or 7. After that, everything should be normal(game startup time, level load time) for the life of the game install.

Well, i had problems installing it, but that was just adobe stuff.

Here is my question to you guys. I purposefully kept my profiles and games from my last computer because i was on the last level(i think, never do know with how long this game is), I have tried and tried, and cannot for the life of me get the profiles SAVED GAMES in the game. The profile names popped up, even kept their video settings, but didn't load the saved games. Any pointers? (i have replaced all the files in the "profiles" folder in the ubisoft install area and still nothing. Any idea's at all?
