FAQ on Atom laptops?

JEDI

Lifer
they have solid state drives.
if i get a 8+ gb drive, can i load my WinXP image on it? (add drivers obviously)

How do i save? flash drive? SD? microSD?

Is there a FAQ?

well they do have usb drives

you could use external media to save. external dvd burner. external hd. external-anything. but even with 8-16bg ssd drive, you'll still have a little room left over to save stuff.

also not all have ssd drives. you could get one with 80gb or 160gb hard drives

my hp mini 1000 has an internal (sorta) 8GB transcend jet3k drive.
a 16GB A-DATA sdhc
8gb SSD drive
you can boot from any of them and use them for pretty much any o/s depending on how skilled you are.

SSD ~35mb/s
USB that i chose about 20mb/s
SDHC class 6 right 18mb/s

what model of netbook also? I know you can upgrade the Dell Mini's SSD and use a USB cd-rom to reload windows. I got a cheap 4gb refurb and did this for a friend i work with. he saved about $200 doing it that way. He bought a 32gb SSD to put into it.

The Runcore Drives for the Dell mini's have a mini usb port and you can clone you hd before you install it. It comes in pretty handy.
