I've seen reports of them using a Hitachi drive and a Samsung drive as well. Not guaranteed to get a WD AAKS drive. I'm getting one anyway.

I'm guessing they use more WD drives than the others; I popped mine open and there's a WD5000AAKS inside. Another guy who posted in the other thread about this deal (making one of these a repost) said he got an AAKS too.
