Fantasy Football trade offer. Is this insulting or what?

i have P Manning, A Gates and J Porter.

he wants to give me Bulger, Whitten and Ro Smith for the above three.

is that about as stupid a trade offer as you've ever seen or what?

the way that manning is playing, the problems in San Diego, and with Randy Moss on the team, i think thats a very fair trade!! 😉
 
I usually respond to stuff like that with a one word answer:

WHY?

I try to be polite. 🙂 Sometimes in public leagues, people don't know if you know what you're doing so they just propose some crazy stuff to see if you bite. If this is a private league with people you know, then it might be deemed as insulting. 😛

ya, that's from our league. and no, manning only had one bad week. and gates was out week one. but other than that, both are solid. and porter is AT LEAST as good as Ro Smith.

no contest, it's about as stupid a trade offer as i've ever seen.

it's an ATOT league, this is our 3rd season together. shoot, i was the champion last season of this league.

we'll see who wins this season. i had a bad week last week, but i still think i have a decent team. obviously in FF who you play WHEN is just as important has how good your actual team is. (i went into the playoffs last season as the bottom seed i believe).

 
just wanted to see how you felt about peyton's outlook. seeing as how you're so desperate you dropped andre johnson for terry glenn. and right now you're starting frisman jackson, brandon jacobs, and david akers.

i guarantee you rod smith outscores jerry porter.

 
I've seen worse. The best reply is IMHO a counter-offer. If you're interested in a trade, make a serious one. If not, send an insulting trade back to him.

Rod Smith is better than Jerry Porter...
Andre Johnson isn't gonna do squat this year... I'm looking for a trade for him in my money league right now.

Peyton Manning is jesus incarnate. If you offered me anything less than a top 5 RB AND a top 5 WR you'd be laughed at. And even then I probably wouldn't trade him.

The clincher though is Gates.... that would be just insane...

Maybe if you offered Smith and Witten for Gates alone... MAYBE... but even then probably not.

i'm sorry but peyton is not worth a top 5 wr and rb. plus sd is about to enter the hard part of their schedule, so who knows how they will do. this league is also rec heavy rather than td. as well as +1/-1 per comp/inc, with manning having a good d, he might not throw as much. bulger will be awesome all year long with mike martz as coach.

andre johnson? what do you think he is a TOP 25 WR?? shoot, he'll probably in the same range as Glenn when it's all said and done, but i'm a cowboys fan (somewhat, more falcons but do root for the pokes quite a bit) so i took a chance on glenn, plus with the offense they will run, glenn will get his share of catches.

akers is a kicker, kickers are a gamble week to week. to assume anything based on a kicker is stupid. besides he missed some FG's week one against atlanta that he normally doesn't miss. had he made those he would be looking pretty decent right now.

brandon jacobs will get lots of td's.

as to rod smith, :roll: let me see plummer put together a few good games first. he is the most inconsistent qb in the league right now and if he doesn't have a decent season i doubt he will start again in the NFL.

but notice we're playing this year. where green, peyton, and daunte have sucked so far.
of course that's that kind of logic i'd expect out of an 0-2 guy 😉
