Fantasy Football Trade Accepted

After tonight's game my team will fall to 3-4 and in 5th place in the standings. The other team involved in the trade will fall to 1-6.

Team A trades (3-4):

P.Manning
S.Holmes (PIT)
J.Stewart (CAR)
Fargas
A.Gonzalez (IND)
Shockey

Team B trades (1-6):

T.Romo
R.Brown (MIA)
T.Houshmanzadeh
Addai
Garrard

Team B felt that if he/she had any chance of getting into the playoffs they would have to make a run. The league plays 13 regular season games so team B needs to probably win atleast the next 5 out of 6 games minimum to have a shot at the playoffs.

Team B's top 2 players (Romo, Addai) are injured and may miss 2-3 games seriously hurting team B's shot at the playoffs. With team B's current roster it only managed to score 60 points this week (lost 131-60).

Obviously team A is getting the better of the deal IF both Romo and Addai can come back from injury. I feel I (team A) can take the risk as I have a bunch of really talented players still left on my bench.

Someone has already started to complain that it wasn't a fair deal but I think its pretty even considering the injuries - had all players been healthy then its a different story.

What do you guys think?

You traded what for what?

I just see a list of players. Were they swapped in one massive trade or something?

Please be more clear when posting in the future.

Huh? Did you read it?

Seems fine to me, but what the hell do I know.

Looks straight to me.

He is giving up some potential firepower BUT if hes 1-6 he needs healthy players to score. He also doesn't have time to let them heal so when in a pinch you do what you must. However Brown being in there //w Addai seems a little lopsided but depends on how your leauge is setup.

You can do mass trades. Try to be less inept in the future.

If both teams agree what does it matter? You only need those 2 to agree to it, so the rest of the league can fuck right off.

I traded P.Manning, S.Holmes (PIT), J.Stewart (CAR), Fargas, A.Gonzalez (IND) and Shockey

for

T.Romo, R.Brown (MIA), T.Houshmanzadeh, Addai and Garrard

Sorry if that wasn't clear. It was a massive 6 for 5 player deal.

It was already clear. Balr0g was the only one who failed at comprehending your post.

As for me, I think the trade is fair.

Yep, that is exactly the feeling for the other team. They only managed 60 points this week with those players and can't afford to put up 2 more weeks of those numbers. If they both (Romo and Addai) do come back and put up big numbers it may be too late.

Brown's numbers are almost identical to Stewart's (JStew has 2 less TDs). Take away Brown's massive 113 yard, 4 TD game against the Pats and his numbers are this

23 yds, 0 TD
25 yds, 1 TD
125 yds, 1 TD
50 yds, 1 TD
27 yds, 0 TD

Brown's numbers this year are 363 yds rushing, 7 TDs while JStew has 352 rushing and 5 TDs.

It's to prevent collusion, to make sure one team isn't deliberately taking a loss so that the other player can win the league.

Not to hijack the thread, but what do you think of this trade:

I have Brandon Jacobs, Reggie Bush, Larry Johnson, and DeAngelo Williams as my runningbacks.

Bush is done for a few weeks, and Johnson is basically useless, which leaves me with only 1 starting running back for the time being.

I have Orton sitting on my bench (as well as palmer...), and Rodgers as my starter. The other guy has Derek Anderson, LT, Ronnie Brown, MJD, and Pittman.

Would it be fair of me to offer him Orton and someone off my bench (Johnson, Williams, Eddie Royal, etc...) for either LT, Brown, or MJD?

C'mon guy theres a big thread just for fantasy football - its something like 44 pages long. Can you move this post there?

Back on topic - any more opinions? I am going to post this thread in our league so the other owners can read it.

LOL, yeah I posted it there and I think i got one response. I figured this thread would get more responses and it has.

Quick Update

Well, I decided to put the trade up to a league vote as a couple people had issues with the trade. I had proposed that the majority of teams had to be against the trade in order to have it overturned. Since we have 10 teams I said that 6 people would have to vote NO in order to do so. However some people had issue with that saying that the two teams involved shouldnt be able to vote and that the majority would rest with the remaining 8 teams - so 5 NO votes would overturn it.

I didn't think that was fair to the 2 teams involved but we got our 5th NO vote today so I just said F it and vetoed the deal.

I talked with the other owner again and we worked out a new deal. What do you guys think about this one?

Team A traded
P.Manning
S.Holmes
J.Stewart
Shockey
J.Campbell

Team B traded
Romo
Houshmanzadeh
R.Brown
Garrard

Basically the same trade minus Addai, Fargas, Gonzalez and added Campbell.
