fantasy basketball draft "WTF?!" picks

Ron Artest is arguably the best defensive player in the league. Considering last year's debacle, I doubt he'll get in *as much* trouble this year.

defense is usually not a big factor in fantasy bball.

In my Football draft the #2 pick selected Steve McNair this year.. it was an accident but still, how do you fvck up your #2 pick?!?

the "WTF" pick in our draft was Amare Stoudamire in with the 5th pick overall. it was because the guy preranked the players before Amare's injury and then went out of town........worked for me, because Dirk slipped to #6 (me!) 😀

ya, but that could happen. in this case, this guy clearly targeted Artest as his #1 pick. not smart. it's one thing to target a premiere player and have that player go down with injury, it's another thing to target an above average player as your #1.

true, true.

what i'm wondering is why Pacers2006 didnt' pick up Jermaine O'Neal with his 2nd round pick.....that would have given him the 1-2 homer combo...

Ron Artest... I can see him going round 2, but 4th overall... yuck. Personally, I think AK went a bit late 🙂

bahahah you did pick brad miller with your second pick

Brad Miller is an excellent center. Decent points, excellent percentages, 9+ boards, a good number of assists from a C and over a block a game. Looks good to me

I know a guy who has a FF league where someone picked Tony Gonzalez with the first round pick, because the year before he had problems with the TE position.

it was close, as i did want peja. but i already have lebron at SF. i really wanted a "do-it-all" type of player, and manu fits the bill. playing alongside TD will def help his production too.

Yeah I agree that Ginobili at 25 is early... I would take Peja over him.

How did Shaq slip to the 3rd round? The guy was #2 in MVP voting last season and he still has a lot of gas left in the tank. That's a steal.

while shaq in real life guarantees a deep run into the playoffs, he can kill a fantasy team because of his FT%
