fantasy basketball draft "WTF?!" picks

If you don't have Kobe as your first pick, a big "HA-HA" to you.

Kobe is destined to have a monster season. Have you seen him in preseason? He is fvcking fast now (after losing some weight).

Shaq really isn't that great in fantasy. Horrible FT%, and I see him sitting some games at the end of the season when the Heat already have a playoff seed locked up.

I don't care how good his preseason has been, I'd take several players ahead of him anyway.

I would never take duncan in the top 5, I managed to nab him with the 14th overall pick which I think is where he belongs, some people like him as a first rounder though.

ya, but that could happen. in this case, this guy clearly targeted Artest as his #1 pick. not smart. it's one thing to target a premiere player and have that player go down with injury, it's another thing to target an above average player as your #1.

what i'm wondering is why Pacers2006 didnt' pick up Jermaine O'Neal with his 2nd round pick.....that would have given him the 1-2 homer combo...

actually, jermain o neal was picked in the 2nd round before it got to him.

i mean if he really wanted to be a homer, he would have picked jermaine o neal first as there is very little chance anyone would have picked ron artest even in then 2nd round.

Yeah he could have been had in round 2. Most leagues I've seen have Artest at the 3rd or 4th rounds.

duncan will give you points, boards, blocks, and fg%, and descent assists for a big guy

B. Miller went round two in several leagues I've followed... in H2H leagues, some people want to dominate % cats, and B. Miller is definitely a guy you want for that. J'Oneal is not center eligible right now in Yahoo leagues... Dwight is poised for a good season, and went round three in some of the aforementioned leagues.

what website are you playing in? in yahoo, neither gasol, jermaine, or howard can fill a C spot. i would not take yao ahead of miller in a fantasy league. yao still needs to work on his passing and rebounding. for Z... decent scoring... untapped rebounding and shot blocking potential. also, you have to take into consideration their higher TO %.

sure there may be more skilled and players with more "upside", but miller is a guy who makes the most of what he has, and that's what makes him good.

hmm...i havent played in a league this season but pau, and jermaine play like centers and do play center...and dwight howard should be allowed to play center....but then again, this is fantasy basketball

Yeah there was a guy who drafted 3 kickers & 2 defenses with his first 5 picks in one of the football leagues I'm in, he basically ruined the league.

i dunno why ben gordon is ranked/drafted so high. i have him in a league where i missed the draft and yahoo auto-drafted him for me. ho-hum.... let's see how that plays out. korver is pretty decent because he's a low TO guy that contributes a little bit of everything. low TO guys are great to draft, provided they are not a bench warmer who gets like 3 mins a game.
