Fantasy Baseball Trade

Spooner

Lifer
I'm looking to get:

Lyle Overbay
Carlos Zambrano
Jamie Moyer

and will give up:

Carlos Delgado
Moises Alou
Kelvim Escobar

Thoughts?

i dunno thats a lot to give up , with less than stellar season so far delgado is bound to turn it around, alou isnt having that good of a year. Id hold on to them for a little longer but thats just me.

zambrano is still young but is having a good year, that might be to your advantage. tough call

thing is, i need more pitching than i do hitting. I can spare Delgado, but am worrying about Alou for Overbay

All these opinions mean nothing, since they do not know your entire rosters, current standings, etc.

However, my worthless opinion is I like this trade.

Delgado is not guaranteed to have a good second 1/2, Alou is playing great, but he is still 38.

Zambrano is 23 and only getting stronger, Overbay is in a breakout year on a breakout club.

Perhaps Moyer/Escobar can be a wash.

imho.

i think i'm going to do it.

My main concern is Alou/Overbay.......... alou has more pop, but overbay has more hits.... alou is a proven contender where overbay is having a breakout year and could end up slumping

i would take that trade.
especially if you need arms.

Agreed.
You would be getting the best player out of the mix.

9-4, 114 IP, 2.61, 1.22, .221 BAA, 104 K, 47 BB
I'd take Zambrano on my fantasy team in a heartbeat. He has pitched poorly in two of his last three starts though.

my other outfielders are Bonds, Hidalgo, and Larry Walker.

bonds rules... hidalgo is hot, and walker rocks when healthy..... this is still a bit of a risk
