right now he has - also he has the #1 selection for waiver wire:

Players Available of Note remember the league has a bunch of morons obviously

Offense:

Josh Fields - OF/3B
Khlil Green - SS
Aaron Rowand - OF
Ty Wiggington - 1B,2B,3B
Ryan Garko - 1B
Jhonny Peralta - SS

Pitching: (no differentiation b/w SP/RP in the league)

Todd Jones - P
Jered Weaver - P
Matt Garza - P
Ubaldo Jiminez - P
Tom Gorzelanny - P
Derek Lowe - P
Ian Snell - P
Daniel Cabrera - P
Adam Wainwright - P
Joe Blanton - P

Im thinking of a few moves for him to make - but before I put any down to sway you or what not what would you do?

my suggestions
my suggestions were

drop Brad Penny - Will have similar #s to Jered Weaver - but I believe Weaver will overachieve
drop Evan Longoria - though a good idea - he may spend time up and down
drop Pat Burrell - good RBI, HR #s - Bad average #s - have a lot of HR hitters in the lineup already - average of 27.5 HRs per starter

add Todd Jones - Saves man. HTF IS HE AVAIL???
add Michael Bourn - Gamble on steals
add Jered Weaver - See above

I'd pick up Jered Weaver from the pitchers in that group, and then maybe Blanton.

Is this a keeper league?? Longoria is a huge talent, but may not play right away. I like Garko in that group as well as Josh Fields

I'm so out of touch on baseball these days. I barely recognize any of those players.

what league allows someone to get his top 3 pitchers in the draft? If he loses to these morans, he is truly a dope ;)

guys, it would probably help the OP out if you suggested who to drop, not just who to pick up

Josh Hamilton available? How about Michael Bourn for some speed. I also really like Chris Duncan. He doesn't get a lot of at bats, but is better than Andruw by a mile when he actually gets to the plate.

How many players in this league? If it's 8, his team is above average but not lights-out. If it's 12 he's dominant.

Dropping brad penny is rather idiotic, his stats are solid and hes not much of an injury risk. Get rid of Jason Veritek. What are you going to do with a 2nd catcher when you have one of the top 3 already.
