If nothing else, the final scene between the SS and Galactus...SS channeling all of his power and then *BOOM*...awesome. Not like an explosion like that would affect the Earth at all, of course not...

I thought he tried to absorb Galactus with his board and the energy was too great for his board to consume...which ended up with the explosion?

can someone clarify if any of this is how it went down in the comic books? for silver surfer to be able to destroy galactus just seems silly to me..

I kind of thought about that too, but I figured he was channeling energy from the board since it looked like he was changing color from the board up - that, and they mentioned earlier in the movie how he draws his power from the board.

*shrugs* Either way, cool explosion 🙂

No. The Watcher helped the Fantastic Four and Richards ended up setting off 'the ultimate nullifier' in front of Galactus to defeat him.

No, this was purely for a nice and tidy movie ending...you also have to realize that they made Galactus a giant cloud thingy...yeah.

Well, for as cool as Silver Surfer was, a giant dude in a purple outfit with big horns on his helmet would have looked pretty cheesy on the movie screen. I was fine with the cloud because there were hints of the classic Galactus in it.

At least it wasn't the 'Ultimate' Galactus form.

I still have to see 12.😛

maybe you'd understand the characters better but i've seen neither 11 or 12 and the plot was perfectly understandable, unlike something say the pirates of the carribean (which i have watched without watching the first 2... it was a painful and confusing 3 hours)
