Hehe, Batman Begins already came out.

and i'm kinda glad Watchmen got scrapped...the scope of that story is too big for a movie to do it justice.

edit: From what i've heard, the people at Marvel arent too happy with the movie.
I played the video game yesterday for an hour, it's terrible as well.

this man speaks the truth! movie critics SUCK. they look way too deep into movies and want every movie to be artsy.

this movie is a god damn summer movie. its pg-13. its meant to get audiences of all ages into a theatre to show some cool effects and show a comic story of 4 super heros, and just entertain the audience for 2 hours or so.

when will people stop overanalyzing movies?!? granted, i haven't seen this movie, but this review looks just like every other review that i see out there for every freaking movie, and then the movies always end up turning out decent or good.

that's what I've been saying this whole time! Invisible women was never a hot early 20s female! They should have cast people true to the comics and stick with what the comic was!

edit:
I'm sitll going to see it though, i like watching these types of movies, not ones that suck, but comic movies. :D

Look at IMDB ratings.

its funny how critics seem to hate the movie, but the every day person thinks its a decent movie. critics get paid to write about movies and review em, yet they suck at their job and over analyzing stuff. what gives?

as i quoted deeko in my other post, fvck critics. they suck. i'm going to see it tonight and i'm sure i'm going to enjoy it.

Yeah, me too. It's the FF, so I just gotta. I owe Marvel that much.

you know what the problem is ? Critics have criteria to "check off" when rating a movie. Notice how Academy Award winning movies are farking dull and drawn out with talk ?

F4 seems to be a feel-good entertainment movie. So it can still be visually cheezy, it can be a little lacking or disorganized in parts, but if it keeps you entertained and tells a satisfactory story at the end of the night, then the movie did its duty. Think of your favorite few movies, then look up how they did in critics reviews. Not always good. (Gone in 60 Seconds got 25% at RT - blasphemy, I was thoroughly entertained).

I always maintain that tv is for entertainment purposes only. So many people want to be educated or mentally challenged. If it doesn't happen, then it must "suck". So false.

F4 is not for everyone. In the words of a cast member, it is a family movie, a date movie, a feel-good movie. It doesn't try to be anything else. Certainly not an action-packed edge-of-your-seat thrill ride like we expected Batman or Star Wars to be. Again, entertainment purposes only. I guess that does mean it's not for everyone.

Critics have their place. Probably 99% of the time, movies I love get critical acclaim, and movies I dislike are lauded by the critics, so their reviews are helpful for me. Most of my friends are the same way. I suppose it just depends on what you like for a good movie.

now did you have your view of the movie before or after you read the critics reviews?

also, rh71 said agreed exactly with me and said the same thing as I feel in other words. i guess thats why we both liked LOST so much. we have similar feeings towards movies and tv shows.

The critics are idiots sometimes. I saw a matinee this afternoon, and it wasn't bad at all. The acting isn't at all bad for an action flic. The citizens in the movie are portrayed as gullible drones, which is disappointing. It would be good to see them as a secondary antagonist, bringing the 4 together as they try to prove their integrity. The evil villian's powers certainly wasn't any worse than Magneto in Xmen. The only difference is they didn't develop his descent into evil with much flair, so he's kind of flat at the end of the movie. You don't end up hating him. Overall, the movie is a pretty good time and I enjoyed it.

J Alba is a decent actress, but the horny young men here can't see her ability because their too busy staring at her breasts. I have always been a fan of hers because she seems like a genuinely good person, and I want to see her succeed.

And I'm going to see it tonight, too, mostly because the girlfriend is REALLY excited about it (I have no clue why, she seems to be jumping on the comic > movie bandwaggon). I hope it doesn't suck as bad as the reviews suggest.

It wasn't so bad. CGI wasn't too great, but it had the difficult task of stretching human animation, which seems to be very difficult to achieve correctly. Acting wasn't great, but it didn't suck either. The guy from Shield who did The Thing was very convincing and gave the film a nice likeability value. Alba didn't do too bad, either, a lot of her emotions were pretty convincing, unlike some other young female actresses. The Nip/Tuck guy did a fairly decent job, though he didn't come across as too menacing until he put the mask on. The Flame guy did well, his comedic relief was dead-on. The guy who played Mr. Fantastic wasn't that likeable, but he didn't tank the film. He kept reminding me of a younger, less defined Jeff Goldbloom.

I'd say... C+, B-? I also need to learn actor's names :Q. Maybe I should start staying for the credits.

I think you're too busy staring at her breasts to see her complete lack of acting ability.

EDIT: Look, they mentioned you in one of the reviews!

I enjoyed the movie. it was entertaining. the critics were right, halfway through, the movie writers sort of gave up after developing the characters... and they beat doom in like 2 minutes....

BUT!!!!!!!! It was entertaining to watch and that's what counts.
