fans with 2 pin power connector

I salvaged three 120 mm fans from the junk pile. I have been thinking about putting them in my pc for some added ventilation but I have noticed that all three have 2 pin connections. Can somebody point me in the right direction for a 2 pin to 3 pin or 4 pin adaptor? I haven't been able to find one.

i don't think they sell those... if you have any of 3 pins laying around you can just take that off and put them on your 120mm fans. Just press down on the openings on top and pull out the wire. Not the openings the headers connect to but the one that just holds the wires in place.

HeHe...I did the samething to my older rig. I salvaged a Delta 120mm fan (89cfm, 45dba) and it to had a 2pin power connection. I searched and couldn't find a 3-2pin adapter. So I tested the 2pins (red, black) to be positive and negative. I then attached it to a 3pin to 4pin (recommend 3pin to 4pin because you don't want to plug it in the MB if you don't know how much juice it's pulling) adapter. Man does this thing move air. So just get a 3pin to 4pin adapter. Make sure you connect the positive side to the adapters positive side (red on red, black on black, etc.). I just push it down on the 2pins allowing the white plastic on the mail 3pin adapter to flex a little.

Have you found out the cfm/dba of these fans? Mine was from a mainframe powersupply unit.

Thanks for all the ideas. When I get home, I'll look to see if I have any power cables I might be able to rewire. I would prefer to rewire than to force the 2 pin and 3 pin connectors together.
I have no idea what the cfm/dba are of the three fans. All three are 12v. One is a panaflo. I salvaged them from the power supplies of three pc's that my boss said to throw out. The pc's were 15+ years old and wouldn't boot up although the power supply fans were running. Only the fans looked salvageable.

do you mean splicing the wires? if you do... you don't need to do that. the little pins on the 2 pin and 3 pin are the same and all you have to do is get it out of the 2 pin housing and put them in their corresponding slots in a 3 pin housing.
