But the infusion of trendy WalMart fasion didn't take:The strategy worked, at first. Wal-Mart couldn't get the product into stores fast enough. The retailer expanded Metro 7 into 600 stores quickly, hoping to leverage the brand's early success.

Remember that people who are even slightly concerned about fashion, are not eager to tell their friends that the smart little dress they're wearing is from WalMart, at least, not in any location where there is at least another store that sells clothes."We overexpanded it.
