wow i looked and its' limited to two pages now, quick question, fan bus just takes the 12v line, and splits it up so you can use more than one fan without ends on them on the same thing?

Yes, that's my understanding. It makes wiring a little neater if you have a bunch of fans.

I have a PCMods fanbus. It plugs in to a regular molex connector from the PS. Then it has 4 seperate places to hook bare wires into from your fans. Each one is controlled by a toggle switch allowing for.... full on, half on, or off. That way you can control how much cooling you need for whatever your doing. Less for surfing, more for gaming.

What I did was take an old PS and cut off the molex connectors and wired them to the fanbus before I installed it. The way this one is set up, you cant hook anything to it when it's in place. You have to pull the face plate and wire stuff up that way. So I took all the molex connectors from the old PS and prewired them onto the fanbus so I can just pop the case's side panel open and switch stuff around or hook up new stuff easily. It works great.

I also have a PC mods fan bus w/ the for switches. I was planing on using it to quiet down the delta fan in use w/ my AX-7. Do you use the bus to control your cpu fan? I am scared that it will accidentaly get switched to the off position. Causing instant death to the ol 1800.

I don't use it for my CPU fan. I have kids, and kids love switches. Nuff said.
