whats a good fan controller software and will it work on a evga x58 my fan speed always seems slow and i have them set at 100% in the bios.i have scythe brand fans and the cpu is water cooled

which scythe fans do you have? different models have different max RPM... the kama flow 2 has 900, 1400, and 1900 rpm versions

thanks that worked but it only shows 1 fan running at 1000 rpm i will have to check how they are hooked up

it'll only report RPM if the fan is connected to a motherboard fan header. some motherboards only have 2 - one for the CPU fan and one for a case fan. it may be that the additional fans are just plugged into molex, in which case you'll need to buy a separate fan controller to adjust their RPM. you may still not be able to get RPM display for those fans in speedfan though.

And of course if you hook the fans directly to the psu they will run at their full rated speed which will not show up on Speed fan.
