i've seen inline controllers from zalman and the like, which just appear to be a variable resistor. they cost a tenner. I'm presuming i can break one of the wires and whack a rotary variable resistor (couple of quid?) in series. does anyone know which of the three fan wires to cut, and what value of resistor i should use? (500 ohm, 1M, etc?)
