Fan question

I know you see these types of questions asked a lot, the search I did didn't come up with anything too productive...

I know what the best performance fan is at the expense of noise.
I know what the quitest fan is with decent performance.

What is a good fan that strikes a median between the 2? I heard YSTech has a good fan that puts out around 28 dB and like 37 cfm...was just wondering if anyone out there knows a better ratio that plays a good in-between. BTW, I'm asking about 80mm fans for an AX-7 I'm going to buy.

edit: Also, what is the difference between ball bearing and sleeve? And which of the two is better for a heatsink?

According to their website, it's 37 CFM @ 30 dB(A).

Sanyo have a fan that moves 43.1 CFM @ 33 dB(A), and Papst have a 40.6 CFM @ 32 dB(A). Any of these look like good choices for CPU cooling.

Any difference between ball bearing and sleeve? I notice the Panaflo being mentioned a lot and it is listed on gizzo's page as sleeve - hydro....just wondering what would give better performance.

Ball and sleeve?--go with ball. except for Panaflo hydro which is some crazy voodoo😛 Do some shopping and devide sound cfm by sound dB. bigger number suggests a better output fan for the noise. AX-7 is supposed to be good so consider these variables: over-clocking--need better cooling. fast CPU--need better cooling. That HS should be able to handle a 1.4 bird with a Panaflo L1A...nice and quiet.

Yah, I was taking a look at a site which gave those ratios...the YS Tech was pretty high up there. I don't need overly quiet, just something that doesn't break the sound barrier =P.

Yah, that's where I'm getting my info.

I'm leaning towards the YS Tech right now since that seems to give the best cfm to dB ratio.

Or maybe even the Panaflo H1A....maybe hook a rheostat up to it...hmmm...Panaflo vs. YS Tech

If you get a rheostat for under $5 you don't have to worry about Sound/CFM ration as that will all be adjustable. It's very easy to hook one up, I got mine at radioshack.

Where do you guys actually GET Y.S. Tech fans? Particularly the FD1281255B-2N (38.3CFM/28.7dB).

/*****Edit:
Oh, and I'm looking into the AX-7 + FD1281255B-2N too.
