fan problems with 9800 pro

Is it just me, or is the fan of the ATI 9800 pro really bad? I got mine, and around a month later, it fried, and got a new one and i have been keeping close attention to the fan, and noticed a few weeks later, the fan starts skipping, and now, i manually need to start the fan (pushing the blades). The card heats up like crazy, and i don't have it overclocked or anything. The heat sink is averaging at 55 degrees C, is this normal?

Your GPU temp is fine. My FX5600 ultra used to hover around 55-60C.

yeah, that 9800pro is one hot card!

Yeah, those temps are fine. But I hated the stock fan.... tooo loud.
