FAN on FOP 38...

I have a FOP 38 with one of those delta fan that give this high pitch noise. Sure teh performance is great but its getting a bit annoying. My question is, are there any fans out there that is less noisy or atleast not high pitch that will yield equal or better performance? ANd it fits on the FOP 38?

 
Any 60mm fan will fit on the heatsink. But with equal or better performace with less noise. Don't count on it. The Delta 38CFM fan is the best fan, as far as airflow and performace goes. You could try a Sunon or YS Tech fan with alot less airflow but the performance won't be THAT much less.
 
I have the Delta 30CFM on my new Taisol and it isn't nearly as loud, a nice lil hum to go with the rest of the fans' humming. The Delta pushes a few more CFM than the typical 27CFMs so I am guessing it is slightly better.
 
I've heard there is a new fan called "everflow" that is 36cfm 31.5db only. don't know much else about it, it's the same fan that can be found on the new thermaltake volcano ii (see plycon). Either that, or mount a quieter 80mm fan that moves the same amount of air.
 
I stripped one of my fans from my alpha P2125 from YS TECH. NOt sure of teh specs but it looked like it was spinning pretty fast too. Slapped it on the FOP 38 and teh idel temp went from 35 to 45! Man there IS a difference.
 
If I want the fop 32 cuz its quieter I would have gone for the Alpha. Fop 32 does not perform like the FOP 38 if it wasn;'t for teh sound.
 
the FOP-32 and the FOP-38 use the same heatsink , just different fans. in a well cooled case the difference between the two is only 1-2c.
