The first chapter in the fan-made episodic King's Quest sequel The Silver Lining was released over the weekend, as promised, and can be downloaded now for free.

'Episode One: What is Decreed Must Be' sees King Graham off to save his children from a villain's curse. "Several more instalments" will be released "throughout 2010."

Developer Phoenix Online Studios' next project is "a new episodic adventure game" titled Corridor 9, which is said to be "in the early stages of development."

Wasn't this game supposedly thrown out by Activision? I vaguely remember fans getting permission to make a sequel as long as it was turned in for evaluation. Activision supposedly denied them.

Short and good or short and bad?

Mmmm...short with potential. I was done in about a 1/2 hour of playtime. It was good while it lasted. Lots of dialog. It was more or less a prologue to the rest of the episodes. It left me wanting more...if that says anything,
