Fan grill on an SK-6

Just wondering if anyone has a fan grill on their SK-6. Seeing as how the fan is held in place by two clips, it seems the clips grab on to the screw holes where you would normally screw in the fan grill. Is it possible to screw a fan grill on a have the clips still safely hold the fan ( 60mm ) on? Anyone have pictures?

No. Those are not screw holes. They are just little holes for the clips to attach to. The holes aren't threaded. You'd have to find some screws that were small enough and stong enough for them to cut their own threads if that is even possible.

I didn't mean the holes on the heatsink. I mean the holes in the fan. The corners of the clips set in the screw holes on the fan. I was wondering if it was possible to put a grill on the fan and still have the clips hold.

After re-reading my original post, "anyone have a fan grill on their SK-6", I see where I messed up.

What I meant to say is, does anyone have a fan grill on the fan, on their SK-6?

OIC 🙂

Dunno - I supposed if you had a screw that was small enuf to fit in there with the clip but still tight enough to hold everything on.

I never worried about it when I was using my SK6's. I don't normally stick my hand in my system when it's running.

I have a fan grill on my SK-6. Its a tight fit but its possible. Its really tricky to get the wires into the grill holes, but once you have it, its very stable. Let me see if I can find a pic for ya.

Those pics really suck; apparently I took them before I knew about the macro function on my digital camera. Lets see if I cant take better ones right now.
