Dryer sheets and duct tape. Works great and it's free, plus your case will be springtime fresh. Just remember to use them first.

A swatch of your wife's or girlfriend's panty hose also works.

If you want a super-cheap solution, just snag a furnace air filter at Home Depot or the like, then cut it up into shapes that will cover your intake holes. Another thread mentioned attaching velcro around the sides of the vent, and the air filter will stick to this. A few months ago I bought a $2 air filter at HD and chopped it up into around 15 one-use air filters. They work great! I still switched to the metal mesh filters at 2cooltek, but I may actually switch back to the air filter... go figure :D

FYI, the metal filters like those from 2cooltek won't fit in the Antec sx1030, and possibly other Antec cases. On these the fans snap into a holder and the metal filters won't fit.

There was a post a long time ago with some custom filters. Guy put a big hole in the side of his case, put in a giant fan, and made a filder out of something like cheese cloth (probably finer though). He had the filter framed by small strips of wood, spruce probably (like from a hobby store) and used magnet strips to hold it on!
